Aluminium wire scrap
Aluminium wire and cable scrap for remelting and secondary aluminium production.

Aluminium alloy vehicle wheel scrap for secondary aluminium smelters and foundries. Quoted by ReMA/ISRI preparation (clean Troma or unprepared), alloy and attachment content.

| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Material | Cast aluminium car and truck wheels, separated from steel wheels |
| Typical alloy | A356 (AlSi7Mg): Si 6.5–7.5%, Mg 0.25–0.45% |
| Aluminium content | About 91–93% Al for A356 wheels; not pure aluminium |
| Attachments | Tyres, valves, balance weights, steel inserts and chrome plating listed |
| Preparation | Whole or cut wheels |
| Use | Remelting only; no roadworthiness claim for scrap wheels |
| Grade | What it means |
|---|---|
| Troma | ReMA/ISRI: clean, single-piece, unplated aluminium wheels of a single specified alloy. Free of inserts, steel, wheel weights and tyres. |
| Mixed alloy wheels | Clean aluminium wheels of more than one alloy. |
| Painted or coated wheels | Wheels with paint or powder coat, traded by agreement. |
| Chrome-plated wheels | Kept separate: plating adds unwanted elements to the melt. |
| Unprepared wheels | With tyres, valves or weights still attached; priced with deductions. |
| Format | Configuration |
|---|---|
| Loose container loading | Whole wheels hand-stacked in containers. |
| Cut or sheared wheels | Cut sections for denser loading. |
| Bins and stillages | For local or truck deliveries. |
Secondary aluminium casting alloys, including new wheel castings.
Rubber, steel and lead or zinc weights contaminate the melt and reduce the value of the aluminium.
Wheel scrap is an alloy, not pure aluminium. A356 wheels contain about 91–93% aluminium, with silicon as the main addition.
It depends on the product and the lot. The minimum quantity, price and delivery terms are set out in the written quotation.
