| SW | Scorched wholes: whole kernels slightly browned during drying. Lower price, same size range. |
| Butts (B) / Splits (S) | Kernels broken crosswise (butts) or split lengthwise along the natural seam (splits). |

What does W320 mean?
"W" means white whole kernels and "320" means 300–320 kernels per pound. A lower number means larger kernels.
What is out-turn for raw cashews?
Out-turn is the weight of usable kernel, in pounds, obtained from an 80 kg bag of raw nuts. It is the main price indicator for raw cashew nuts.
